This is both a Movie rant and an Anime rant but I thought I'd start this new segment off with a bang.
I've been hearing a lot of disturbing rumors going around the web about the Dragon Ball movie starting from the beginning of the series. Now, to me this would be a stupid move on the writers and the directors part.
If they researched the source material like they're supposed to, they would have realized that Goku is a kid at the beginning of the Dragon Ball Series.
Is it just me or am I the only person who thinks that they should stay true to the original instead of doing what they think is the right way to do it. I mean if your doing something that takes place after say DB, DBZ, and even Dragon Ball GT I can understand if they want to create their own story, but not if it has to do with something then they should at least try at make it respectable.
However, I'm still going to see this movie. I don't have high expectations for this film but I'm willing to give it a try.
Plus it's being directed by James Wong plus it large Ensemble of actors: James Marsters, Jamie Chung, Emmy Rossum, Eriko Tamura, Joon Park, Chow Yun-Fat, Texas Battle, Randall Duk Kim and Ernie Hudson.
Now to make this story interesting and it would make far more since is if the story took place Between Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. That way they could do what they wanted with the story and somehow expand the Mythos of the Dragon Ball series.
